Renee Hintz is the executive director of Michigan Legacy Art Park. In this position, Renee is responsible for managing the Art Park including supporting the board of directors, standing committees, and volunteers by providing leadership and direction as they relate to overall operations of the sculpture park. Renee was born and raised in northern Michigan and has been involved in the arts throughout her life. She graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy and then attended Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana where she studied cello performance and arts administration. After earning her bachelor’s degree in arts administration in 2001, Renee worked for the City of Indianapolis to offer hundreds of arts and cultural events in parks across the city each year.
In 2006, Renee returned to northern Michigan and continues professional development through The Fund Raising School (Indiana University School of Philanthropy.) Renee continues to play the cello in community ensembles and thoroughly enjoys working toward enhancing the cultural landscape of Michigan. She along with her husband Chris, son Isaac and daughter Anika live in Interlochen.
