Sandra Osip
Born 1948
Sandra Osip currently lives and works in Brooklyn. New York. She received a B.S. from Wayne State University and an M.F.A. from Cranbrook Academy of Art and began her career in the Detroit area. Her work has been included in exhibitions and collections across the United States and she has a number of awards including artist fellowships from the New York Foundation of the Arts and the Michigan Council of the Arts.
Artist Statement
My mixed media sculptural work “shows glimpses of devastation that takes place, both physically and emotionally when the normal order of things is violently ruptured on such a massive scale” from “Dispatches From the Edge” by Anderson Cooper.
