Michigan Legacy Art Park invites all area educators to attend Educators Appreciation Day on Friday, August 23 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m The Park is an inspiring place where textbooks spring to life through the Park’s sculptures while exploring nature. All educators including teachers, administrators, parents, and paraprofessionals are encouraged to take part in this rich afternoon of conversation, opportunities, a walk through the Park, and wine and Hor d’oeuvres.
Education Director, Patricia Innis and Art Park artists will be on hand to introduce the educational materials, Looking to Learn, and Artist-in Residence programs. Educators will be encouraged to share their input regarding curriculum ideas. Information on how to obtain grant funding for field trips to the Park will also be available. Educational materials will be given to all who attend.
