Lindsay Greer

Director of Programs and Public Engagement

Lindsay Greer joined Michigan Legacy Art Park in March 2024. Originally from Clare, Michigan, Lindsay completed her junior and senior years of high school at Interlochen Arts Academy and fell in love with the region. After completing her bachelor’s degree at Scripps College in Claremont, California, Lindsay worked for several years in the greater Traverse City region before leaving again for Illinois, where she completed her Ph.D. in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Performance Studies at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. As a performer, she’s performed solo and ensemble work in such venues as the Minnesota Fringe Festival and the Patti Pace Performance Festival in New Orleans. As a visual artist, she’s exhibited short films at festivals including Nashville Shorts and the Coney Island Film Festival. As an educator, she’s taught classes at the undergraduate and graduate level as both an Instructor at SIUC and at the rank of Assistant Professor at the University of Southern Indiana. She left academia to pursue a “more creative and balanced life” in Northern Michigan and is eager to spread her love of the arts and education in her new role as the Director of Programs and Public Engagement with the Michigan Legacy Art Park.
