Shout Sister ShoutMichigan Legacy Art Park welcomes members of Steppin' In It with singer/songwriter Rachael Davis.

Performing jazz music of the 1930s and 40s, Shout Sister Shout will enthrall concert-goers on Friday, August 5 at Michigan Legacy Art Park in Thompsonville. The 7:00 p.m. concert is the final performance of the Art Park’s 2011 Summer Sounds concert series and is being hosted by Grow Benzie. Tickets are $10 per adult, $8 per Art Park member, and free for kids 17 years and younger. The concert takes place at Michigan Legacy Art Park’s open air amphitheater, located within the park’s 30-acre preserve on the grounds of Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa.

Described by the Detroit Metro Times as, "a tribute to the smoky, sophisticated sound of the 1930s and 40s jazz, with plenty of influence from Cole Porter, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole Trio, and Sarah Vaughan," Shout Sister Shout is comprised of members of the popular Lansing-based quartet Steppin’ In It along with singer/songwriter Rachael Davis. The quintet began performing together in the summer of 2006 and released their first album in the spring of 2009. This summer, the group is performing at numerous music festivals, including the Buttermilk Jamboree in Delton, Michigan.
